OUR STORY
Woodenman Muay Thai was founded based on the belief that Muay Thai was best expressed as the journey towards self-understanding, self-betterment, enjoyment, and a sense of community. Our focus isn't the destination but the continued process and expression of deference and love for the practice of Muay Thai. No matter what brings you through our doors, we want you to understand the practice better and, through that, have a greater love for yourself.
In many ways, this ideology brought our founders, Jongsanan and Malia, together. With over a decade of training, competition matches, and friendship, the idea for this gym became a reality. We want to bring our concept of Muay Thai to the wonderfully diverse San Francisco community and the surrounding Bay Area.
