It varies from person to person. You will need to learn the fundamentals of all 8 limbs, which include punching, kicking, elbowing, and knees. You will also need to know the art of pad holding. Having a good pad-holding partner does wonders for your technique. You instructor will let you know when you are ready to move on from intros.

For All Levels classes, you can use any weight and type of glove. Depending on the size of your hand, you can go anywhere from 10 oz to 16 oz. The glove should have a secure fit. If it is too loose, you can risk injuring yourself. For hand wraps, you should get a 180” length hand wrap. The hand wrap helps protect and secure your hand in the glove.

We have a lost and found behind the front desk. Just let the front desk know what item you are missing, and we can check for you. For clothing, we will keep your clothing for up to a week. Since most clothing is sweaty when collected, we can only keep it for a short time due to the risk of infection and bacteria. If you are missing a water bottle, it will be in a box near the gym entrance.

We do not offer free trial classes. If you would like to try out the gym with limited commitment, we have the option for a day pass for $32. If you would like to continue at the gym further before the day ends, we can waive the $32 fee if you sign up for the monthly membership.

For private sessions, you will need to speak directly to the trainer of your choice for rates and scheduling.
You can do this by first emailing us at info@woodenmanmuaythai.com, letting us know your availability, and if you have a particular trainer preference. If you don’t have a preference, we will reach out to a coach who has matching availability.
